Roy Mudanza Recieves DANGAL NG BAYAN AWARD
Malacanang Palace, September 8, 2008 - Geroilan P. Mudanza received his second Civil Service Commission Honor Award on Wednesday, September, in a ceremony at the Rizal Hall of the Malacanang Palace.
The CSC named Mudanza among outstanding public officials and employees for 2008, bestowing him with the Dangal ng Bayan award, a top award given to employees in the government. CSC bestows the Dangal ng Bayan award to Outstanding Public Officials and Employees for performance of extraordinary act or public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior. The awardees are chosen based on the observance of the eight norms of behavior provided under Republic Act No. 6713 otherwise known as the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees” which include such standards as Commitment to Public Interest, Professionalism, Justness and Sincerity, Political Neutrality, Responsiveness to the Public, Nationalism and Patriotism, Commitment to Democracy, and Simple Living. It is part of the Honor Awards Program (HAP) of the CSC in recognition of outstanding work performance displayed by government officials and employees. The conferment of honor awards aims to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service. |
