Roy Mudanza: Country's Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS 2007)
Malacañang Palace, September 8, 2007 - In brief and meaningful ceremonies in Malacañang, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo conferred awards to Metrobank Foundation’s ten outstanding policemen of 2007. The awardees had passed a stringent selection process, to be hailed as the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS). The awardees this year are: (Commissioned officer) P/Supt. Joseph Adnol, P/Supt. Gilberto Cruz, P/C Insp. Emma Galero, P/Supt. Wilson Joseph Lopez, (Non Commissioned Officers) SPO1 Pablo Selloriquez Jr., SPO2 Geroilan Mudanza, SPO2 Vladimir Tugonon, PO3 Efren Salazar Jr., PO2 Girlie Gay Sanado and PO3 Rodelio Garcia.
COPS winners are considered to be the police force’s cream of the crop. They were selected for great achievements and service to their communities. This year’s panel of judges was led by Labor Secretary Arturo Brion, who noted the sincerity and steadfastness displayed by the winners in the accomplishment of their duties. |
Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepena, on the other hand, said he hoped the award would serve as “an affirmation of the civilian sector’s trust in our police forces’ capacity to serve and protect our communities.”
